Isle of Dogs

The Isle of Dogs is a peninsula in the River Thames in East London, in the modern borough of Tower Hamlets (London, England). The area was originally known as Stepney Marsh. In the early 19th century, the Isle of Dogs was used as an industrial space for docks and factories, including the construction of the West India Docks in 1802 and East India Docks in 1806.
