The second novel in this series picks up right where the first one leaves off. The two main characters, June and Day, are trying to escape from the horrors in Los Angeles. The rebel group that had helped the two out in the last novel, the Patriots, they have a base in Las Vegas. The two decided that this would be the safest bet for them, as they had alligned themselves with the Patriots. The duration of the novel takes place in Las Vegas as well.
