London Institution

The London Institution was founded in 1806 to make education in the Sciences, Literature, and the Arts widely available to people with non-orthodox religious beliefs who were consequently barred from attending Oxford University or Cambridge University. The Institution moved into premises at Finsbury Circus, in the City of London in 1815. It closed in 1912.
