London Orphan Asylum

The London Orphan Asylum was established by philanthropist Andrew Reed in 1813 and became a united building in Clapton in the 1820s. The Asylum was a charity-based boarding school for orphans in response to increased social awareness of orphans and destitute children. It was renamed London Orphan School in 1915 and to Reed’s School in 1915.
