Manchester- The Hub of the Industrial Revolution

During the Industrial Revolution, Manchester grew so quickly that it became the world's first industrial city. Before the city was all hustle and bustle with new machienary and scientific advancement, it was a quiet market town. The ability for a city to reshape itself and welcome in change, expansion, and people settling from Britain and other countries shows how Manchester has acted as a central hub and melting pot for new ideas, cultures and communities to come together. Looking at the present day photo above, I think it could have been easy for people during this time to feel a shift in intensity of daily life during this time. I think this serves as a reminder that even when the world shifts around us, people always will look for a connection and a sense of belonging.
