Meekatharra
Meaning “place of a little water,” Meekatharra is a town in the state of Western Australia. The town developed after gold was discovered in the area in the 1890s, and a second gold rush on the area took place in the 1980s. In 2011, it had a population of 812, nearly half of whom are of Aboriginal descent.
