Montagu Square is a square in the Marylebone area of northwest London. The builder, David Porter, named the square for his mistress, Elizabeth Montagu. The square boasts several significant residents including traveler Lady Hester Stanhope, the poet Ted Hughes, musicians Ringo Starr and Jimi Hendrix, and novelist Anthony Trollope.
