Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is a state in the northeast of the United States. Its state capital is Harrisburg. It was founded in 1681 by William Penn. The American Declaration of Independence was drawn up in Philadelphia in 1775 and the American Constitution in 1787. Pennsylvania is home to notable locations such as Valley Forge, which housed the American troops under General George Washington during the American War of Independence, and Gettysburg, which was the northernmost battle of the American Civil War. Pennsylvania has a long history in the steel, logging, and coal industries. Rural portions of Pennsylvania are known for Amish communities.
