The Rhine River is a European river beginning in Switzerland and flowing primarily through Germany and the Netherlands. It is the second-long river in central and Western Europe (after the Danube). The cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Rotterdam, Strasbourg, and Basel are located along the river.
