Royal Dispensary for Diseases of the Ear

The Royal Dispensary for Diseases of the Ear was the first ear hospital in the United Kingdom. It was originally established by naval surgeon John Harrison Curtis at 20 Carlisle Street, but soon moved to Dean Street in Soho. It became the Royal Ear Hospital in 1845. It moved to its present location at 21 Capper Street in 1927.
