Royal Geographical Society

The Royal Geographical Society is a learned society for the study of geography. It was founded in 1830 and since 1912 has been headquartered in Lowther Lodge in the South Kensington district of west London. Prior locations include in Regent Street, 15 Whitehall Palace, and 1 Savile Row. In 1893, it began publication of the Geographical Journal, which is still issued today.
