Royal Photographic Society

Known originally as the Photographic Society of London, the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) was formally established in 1853 to support the art and science of photography. Meetings were held in the Great Rooms of the Society of Arts, housed in an eighteenth-century neoclassical terrace house in John Street, in the City of Westminster, London. Today, the society’s residence is in Bath.
