Runnymede

Located along the River Thames in Surrey, Runnymede is a water-meadow 20 miles west of London. It was quite close to the Roman Road river crossing. In 1215, King John sealed the Magna Carta here. Several memorials are located here including a tribute to the Magna Carta, the British memorial for American president John F. Kennedy, and an Air Force Memorial for those service members who fought and died in World War II.
