Sinclair Head

Sinclair Head is a promontory on the North Island of New Zealand, fourteen miles from Wellington. Its Māori name was Te Rimurapa, which means “the search for seaweed,” but it was renamed for Sir George Sinclair of the New Zealand Company. A large company of fur seals lives here and can number up to 300 in the winter.
