Sotherton Court

Sotherton Court is a fictional estate mentioned in Mansfield Park: "...Sotherton Court is the noblest old place in the world" (81). The novel also describes the estate as extremely worthy of enrichments: "Such a place as Sotherton Court deserves everything that taste and money can do" (81). This estate is owned by James Rushworth, and this is the location where Fanny Price was disappointed with the chapel.
