St. Ann Parish
St. Ann is the largest parish in Jamaica, located on the northern coast of the island. Its capital city is Saint Ann’s Bay, historically a fishing port. The region is named for Lady Anne Hyde, King James II’s first wife. In 1494, Christopher Columbus landed in St. Ann, Jamaica. Many reggae singers hail from St. Ann Parish, including Floyd Lloyd and Bob Marley.
