Turner's Lane Military Hospital

Turner’s Lane Military Hospital was located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1863 during the American Civil War, it is considered the first US neurological research center. Dr. Silas Weir Mitchell, famous for his “rest cure,” along with George Read Morehouse and William Williams Kenn Jr. practiced here.
