Walker Art Gallery

The Walker Art Gallery is a museum in Liverpool. A national museum with one of the largest art collections in England outside of London, the Walker Art Gallery is referred to as the “National Gallery of the North.” The Walker Art Gallery was established in 1819 by the Liverpool Royal Institution. The collection includes many Italian and Netherlandish paintings from 1300–1500, many Pre-Raphaelite paintings, and works by Rembrandt and Degas.
