Waltham Cross

Waltham Cross is a town in the county of Hertfordshire in southern England. It is part of the metropolitan area of London. It is home to, and takes its name from, one of the three surviving medieval Eleanor Crosses that marked the resting places of the coffin of Eleanor of Castile, the wife of Edward I, when her body was transported to London. Novelist Anthony Trollope lived here from 1859 to 1871 and wrote twenty-six novels.
