Paolo Uccello's The Hunt in the Forest
Paolo Uccello was an Italian painter who died just before the Renaissance. In one of his last paintings titledĀ The Hunt in the Forest, we can see perspective beginning to appear in art. Uccello's piece also is a great example of how plants and trees were painted during the pre-Renaissance. His plants show variation and stand out from each other, but they still don't look like a real tree. Uccello's plants in the foreground also still maintain the symbolic look rather than the realistic look that would appear during the Renaissance.
