As the Industrial Revolution grew, the changes in class happened economically. The rich got richer specifically the business owners. They dined in the benefits like technology. Factory owners grew to create what is known as the middle class. The middle class created more jobs in their factories but did not pay well and they did not have good working conditions fo rthie workers. And with the influx in status and the flexibility in how the middle class ran their companies, the poor (also known as the working class) situation didnt change, it could even be said that it worsened in different areas. People who become the second class finally had the means to educate their children to maintain or slowly rise to high standards.

In Oliver Twiss, Charles Dickens shows the poor class and the high class by having Oliver live among each. He lived with Mr. Brownlow and his big house and was cared for. Mr. Brownlow bought him a new suit and had nice art up in his house. Mr. Grimwig believed because Oliver was poor that he would follow the lower class and steal because, “The boy has got a new suit of clothes on his back, a set of valuable books under his arm, and a five-pound note in his pocket” 114). Oliver also lived in a workplace factory as a child until he ran and began to live with Dodger and the boys who would steal to survive.
