Merton Abbey Mills, located in the Merton parish in London, was once a textile factory. Originally used by Huguenot silk throwers, the Merton Abbey Mills was reconfigured in the nineteenth century for textile printing and housed William Morris’s textile company Morris & Co.’s workshop beginning in 1881. Today, the area is known for its craft market and summer theatre and music festival.
