Elena Garro published her play Un hogar sólido ( A Solid Home) In 1958 while writing for a local theatre group that ran plays out of the theatre at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The play takes place inside a crypt in an unnamed cemetery, most likely in or around Mexico City.
One of these likely locations is the famous Panteon del Tepeyac, which sits near the Shrine of Guadalupe. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in the city and contains many famous figures.
While it is not certain this cemetery can be traced to Garro's play, it certainly fits the location and setting, while also being of significant fame.
