Preteen Victorian Prostitutes

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

The following picture above illustrates a pregnant ten-year-old Victorian prostitute named Mary Simpson, also known as Minnie Rae. Simpson was a ten-year-old prostitute that was born in New England. Before her pregnancy, her biological father died when she was just two years old. He died from the Civil War or during the Homestead Act. Simpson later moved to San Francisco, California to be with her mother. Simpson loved to care for animals and take care of her younger brother Adam.

Then several years later, her mother died, leaving Simspon and Adam to be an orphan. At the age of nine, Simpson went back to England to earn a living. In England, she would meet J.M. Bernie, who later wrote a book called "Peter Pan." During their time together, Simpson ended up being pregnant at the age of ten. The character Wendy in the story Peter Pan was based on Mary Simpson. When Simpson was four months pregnant, she had a lot more customers. Many people were amazed to see a pregnant preteen and pay to take a picture of Simspon. The photo above was taken in 1871. Then, later on in the year, she gave birth to a baby boy named Bartholomew. After giving birth to her only child, she went back to San Francisco. Simpson was never to be found ever again.
