Description:

In the 19th century, women were expected to uphold a housewife standard. Women were expected to do the cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the children. Their role was way different from men in the 19th century. Women were not allowed to be outspoken, and they were not given the same opportunities as men. Women were expected to support a certain standard society painted for them to have. The picture shown gives you a visual of how women were expected to be in the 19th century.
