With the help of Monina, Richard moves his force to White Sand Bay on the western side of England. Richard is relying on assistance in order to establish his credibility and get enough men to fight.

"Monina, among the wild rude Cornish rebels, exerted herself, to inspire zeal for his cause, and to increase the number of his partisans, winning them by her thrilling eloquence, ruling them by her beauty and ethusiasm" (362).

"With eagerness she awaited the fleet that was to bring the chosen band of heroes; when, after a long and calm voyage, on the third of September, the Adalid ran into White Sand Bay" (362).

Description: Here is an image of White Sand Bay. From the picture, one can see how it curves back toward the west side of the image. This becomes one of the western most points in the southern region of the mainland.
