Aldersgate Street is a street in the City of London (London, England). It now forms a short section of the A1 route. The street is part of the ward of Aldersgate, which was one of the northern gates in the London Wall that once surrounded the City of London and was divided into Aldersgate Within (within the wall of the  City) and Without (outside the wall of the city).
