Bay of Bengal

The Bay of Bengal is located in in the Indian Ocean and is larger than two million square kilometers in area (over 800,000 sq. miles). Important ports include Chennai-Ennore, Colombo, and Dharma. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are located here. The Shore Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located on the Bay of Bengal.
