Buckingham Palace is the royal London residence and adminstrative headquarters of the monarch. It's located in the City of Westminster, which is why Mrs. Dalloway passes it (among many other landmarks) as she walks to Bond Street: "walking towards Buckingham Palace. There it stood four-square, in the broad sunshine, uncompromising, plain."
