The Building of the Berlin Wall

 This photo came from a video that was shown on BBC. It shows a group of workers laying the giant concrete slabs that would make up portions of the wall. At these early stages, border crossings were probably happening quite often and frequently, with families trying to reunite and escape the falling Iron Curtain.
