Founded in 1546 by King Henry VIII, Christ Church is a college of the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Christ Church features several architecturally significant buildings including Tom Tower designed by Christopher Wren and the Great Dining Hall, which was the seat of King Charles I’s parliament during the English Civil War. Notable alumni include writers Lewis Carroll and W. H. Auden, philosopher John Locke, and scientist Robert Hooke.
