The Court of Miracles, a charming, European-style set on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot, was built in 1919 but most of the sets currently on display were built after a fire destroyed much of the Little Europe area in 1967. Named after 1919 film, The Miracle Man, it was featured prominently in classic films like The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), Frankenstein (1931), The Wolf Man (1941) and modern productions ranging from an episode of Moonlighting to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) and Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), standing in for varied settings from modern England to medieval Spain.
