Denver, Colorado is significant to Frankenstein because that is where famous horror film actor Dwight Fry was raised. Dwight Fry was orginally born in Salina, Kansas, but moved to Colorado when he was a young boy. In Denver, he found interests in music and theater. Fry had exclusive interest in paino and violin and really didnt start his acting career until age 18; when he joined the Denham Stock Company in Denver, which set him up with his path of success to New York and later on, Hollywood. I found this information from a Wiki Fan page: Vampedia; and a LiveJournal: In Memory of Dwight Fry. These sources are examples of low barriers to entry and consumer vs participatory culture. In the LiveJournal, anyone can post and share unique life stories, or topics they are fond of, represetning low barriers to entry. As well as, the Wiki Fan page allows consumers to take in inforamation others are posting and comment their thoughts/questions, representing consumer vs participatory culture. Mapping this location on cove allows my fellow classmates to learn more about places they may have not known before or cared to of looked into.
