Brescia is little periferic city the region of Lombardy, up in the north of Italy. It's location [east of Lombardy] influenced its history greatly through since its inception. While not big, it is one of the biggest productive centre of the Italy and of the entire EU. In fact, its location is strategic, being a crossroad that can lead towards the rest of Europe if you pass through the mountains (pre-Alps) on its back, and is nearly halfway between Milan and Venice (Who have been competing for the city constantly in the centuries). Its history nearly perfectly reflected in its eclectic architecture in the historic centre. Speaking of witch, Brescia, is a "city of squares", and the one i prefer the most known: Piazza della Loggia. Standing at the core centre of the city of Brescia, rapresents its illustrious past under the Serenissima (Maritime Republic of Venice) during the Renaissance. With its white marble and the bluish dome on top, it's one the most iconic building in town and now host the municipal offices.
