Exeter College

Exeter College, located on Turl Street, is the fourth oldest college of the University of Oxford. It was founded in 1314 by Walter de Stapledon, the Bishop of Exeter. Notable alumni include textile designer and writer William Morris, authors J.R.R. Tolkien and Philip Pullman, and actor Richard Burton. It began admitting women in 1979.
