Half Moon Street is a street in the City of Westminster (London, England). It was built in the 18th century and is named after a public house that once was located on the site. Half Moon street is the setting for Algernon's home in the first act of The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) by Oscar Wilde (1854-1900).
