The process I went through to complete the reading is probably very different to what others have done. This entire week I'm in Colorado, and am attending my cousin's wedding, so I am trying to finish as much work as I can before this weekend. Reading 17 chapters of Bleak House, which I calculated to be 139 pages with is equivalent to 97,506 words, was quite daunting. I decided to listen to Bleak House in most of my free time, and was able to finish it on Tuesday. It was a little hard to understand what was going on, so to fix this, I read spark notes before I read the chapter so I could understand the general outcome of the chapter was. My view on the era is that it was very dirty and the class system was very prominent with the rich being very wealthy and the poor being pennyless.
