Il Redentore

Translating to "the Redeemer", this church by Palladio was built in order to offer thanks for those that survived the plague of 1575. This church was built in the Palladian style, reflecting Roman influence. Each year in July, there is a festival (The Festa del Redentore) that culminates in the Doge attending mass at Il Redentore.
