Jack And The Beanstalk - Orge Tower

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This image is of the ogre tower from the fairy tale Jack And The Beanstalk. In the photo the castle is a massive, towering structure in the clouds, where the giant lives with his treasures-such as the golden harp. In both Jack And The Beanstalk and The Little Lame Prince the towering structures symbolize isolation, power and transformation. In the text The Little Lame Prince, the young prince is locked away, cut off from the world. This connects to the story Jack And The Beanstalk in the way that the tower is in an unreachable place in the clouds. In both stories these places represent initial helplessness.
