J.K. Rowling.
(BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM)
J.K. Rowling, better known as Joanne Rowling, was born on July 31, 1965, in Yate General Hospital near Bristol, to James and Anne Rowling (“J. K. Rowling Biography”). She originally grew up in Gloucestershire in England, and then her family then moved to Winterbourne in a nearby village when she was four. Later on in life, her moved to Tutshill, near Chepstow, Gwent, in south-east Wales. This was near the Welsh border, and she moved here when she was only nine years old ("Childhood and Family”). These locations relate to her life because these are the areas that she grew up in along with that, they also contain the places that her parents worked. Her father, Peter, was an aircraft engineer at the Rolls Royce factory in Bristol which was nearby. Joanne's mother, Anne, worked in the Chemistry department at Wyedean Comprehensive as a science technician (“J.K. Rowling.”). It is mainly important to include Bristol rather than the places that she has moved to as a child because it is her birthing place, her school is nearby, and it is where her parents worked!
