J.K. Rowling.
(EXETER, ENGLAND)
Joanne Rowling first went to St. Michael’s Primary School and then Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre, which her mother worked at near Bristol (“J.K. Rowling.”). In 1983 she graduated from Wyedean, and then attended Exeter University later on in that year. At this school she decided that she wanted to get a BA French and Classics, which she did succeed in getting in 1986 (“Childhood and Family”). While studying at this Exter University she took advantage of their library and read as many books as possible while outside of her class time. She ended up with a fine of £50 for overdue books at the University’s library since she could not stay away from the collections that they had. This actually ened up benefiting her in the end because all the knowledge that she retained is displayed through her Harry Potter series. Her BA in Classics would came in handy when crafting spells in Latin along with interpreting the Latin words in handy when she wrote her Harry Potter series. Her BA in French allowed her to get a job as a bilingual secretary and a researched at Amnesty International (“J.K. Rowling Biography”). Without Rowling attending this University in Exeter, she would have not been able to gain the knowledge that helped influence and support her writing.
