J.K. Rowling.

In 1999, J. K. Rowling sold the film rights for the first four Harry Potter books to Warner Bros. for a reported £1 million (“Warner Bros. | Harry Potter Wiki | Fandom”). It is said that the began filming in 2000 and released the movie in 2001 on November 14th. The first one did so well in the box office that six more soon followed, concluding with the release of the eighth film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, in 2011 on July 15th (“J.K. Rowling”).
