The Little Prince looking at the empty shelves inside the tower

This image is taken from chapter five of the text The Little Lame Prince by Miss Mulock (Pseudonym of Maria Dinah Craik). In  this photo the prince is sitting down on the floor looking at “the empty shelves, so beautifully clean and tidy.” This image connects to the idea of loneliness and sadness especially after the narrator describes the prince “bursting out sobbing as if his heart would break” after looking at the empty shelves.
