Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin Shelley was born at 29 The Polygon, Somers Town, London, England her birthplace is important to Frankenstein because Mary Shelley was born here but it is also where she lost her mother, who died eleven days after giving birth to Mary. Since Mary never met her mother she grew up reading and hearing what others' thought, people used words like disgust and detestation when talking about her mother. Mary Shelley continued to lose many loved ones throughout her life, the grief she experienced in her own life played a role while writing Frankenstein. I found this information on a blog and a wikitree website, both of these websites are examples of low barriers to entry because people reading it are able to comment and share their own thoughts without having permission from the owner of the websites. Mapping this location on COVE adds a grassroots layer to a story normally told top-down.
