Mysuru is a city in the foothills of the Chamundi Hills in the state of Karnataka in southern India. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from the Middle Ages until 1956. It is home to the Ambavilas or Mysore Palace, the historic seat of the Wadiyar Dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Mysore.
