Queen Victoria began her reign at the age of eighteen after her uncle, William IV, died. She was married in 1840 to Prince Albert and had nine children with him. After Prince Albert's death in 1861, however, she found it difficult to be in the public and felt very depressed. Her reign ended in 190, being recorded as the longest reign in British history, lasting a total of 64 years. Her name inspired the title for the Victorian Era.
