Wilde attended Trinity College, Dublin from 1871-1874. Here he won many many coveted awards but the one of the highest importance was the Berkeley Gold Medal which he later went onto pawn multiple times during times of hardship. Being at the top of his class and placing first in his exams, he was also granted a scholarship, the Demyship scholarship, to Magdalen College in Oxford.
