Turnham Green is a park in Chiswick, London, and was established in 1841.  This popular park is most well known for the Christ Church, Chiswick Town Hall, and the Chiswick War Memorial located on the park grounds. This park is a tourist attraction due to all the historical elements and buildings located within it.  Turnham Green is mentioned one time in Romance of A Shop when Phyllis is reading a newspaper.  In Levy's book, she said, ""A woman shot at Turnham Green," cried Phyllis, glancing down a column of miscellaneous items, while the lamplight fell on her bent brown head".  Phyllis briefly mentions that a woman was killed there, but then never mentions the park again.
