View of the Death Strip, Overlooking the Berlin Wall into the East

Type: Gallery Image | Not Vetted

This picture taken by Siegbert Brey shows East Berlin and the wall seen from the west. We can observe the Death strip where if anyone was found to be they would have been shot by East German guards. In West Berlin, they were surrounded by a wall making everyday life feel like a prison. This picture speaks a thousand words, and we can truly hear all of them.
