The Wordsworth House is a townhouse in the Northeast scenic region of Great Britain, and the site of William Wordsworth's birth in 1770. The home belonged to an Earl to whom William's father was an agent. The family lived there rent free in lieu of his father's services to the Earl. Along the river, the property features a picturesque garden where William drew lifelong inspiration for his romantic works. Today, the home is perfectly restored and offered guided tours. You can view exhibits over the life and work of Wordsworth and can enjoy an authentic meal from the period when he lived.
